Review of Amsterdam’s 75-minute canal cruise, with historic sights, multilingual audio, snackbox options, family extras, and practical tips.

“The experience was a little sad as it was not well attended that particular Sunday morning. I would have appreciated more participants. The audio guide was good. The captain often spoke over what was being offered via the audio which made it hard to follow both. Still, I had a great time being on the water & seeing the city from that vantage point.”

Review of Istanbul’s $14 Bosphorus and Golden Horn cruise, with landmark views, multilingual audio, sunset options, tips, and honest drawbacks.

“Very nice tour. Meeting place is in front of The Hagia Sophia that has a green striped awning and you will see the guy with the yellow shirt and umbrella. If you also see a big group forming you can also ask them if you are confused. After you meet up you will walk 15 min to the boat, if it is a big group they have 2 boats so don’t worry about getting on the first one. I recommend bringing a sweater or shawl as it does get windy and chilly if you sit outside. Overall good experience”

Review of the 2-hour Pinhão Rabelo boat tour, with Douro Valley views, vineyard terraces, audio guide tips, route details, and value advice.

“Two hours was the perfect amount of time on the lovely river Douro, and I am glad that I did the 10:45am morning tour - having travelled by train along the Linha do Douro that same morning from Porto. It was also wonderful to travel along that portion of the river between Pinhao and Tua. It's a smaller yet less crowded option than the 1 hour boat tour from Pinhao. The boat captain and assistant were very helpful if you have questions (or audio guide start up issues). Thankfully the audio guide (which worked reasonably well) is only for the upriver portion, so for those who did not bring headphones…”
